Chapters of our life
When David and I bought our home, Hibiscus Hill, twenty years ago, we inherited with it a box of Christmas decorations. Slightly worn, slightly mildewy, but decorations nevertheless, and since at that time you could hardly buy a tube of toothpaste on the island let alone tinsel, we were very grateful.
Over the years we have added to that collection: small hand-made masterpieces by the children, a velvet elephant from a trip to Mumbai, a Haitian interpretation of Mr. and Mrs. Claus, a London taxi, a slightly dodgy starfish ornament I created for the Home Shopping Channel.
Chapters of our life together…. hanging from a tree.
